What does an Elida do when she refuses to revise physics and german? Simple. She watches depressing films set in 18th and 19th century England. Not only did she decide to watch Becoming Jane. Oh no no. She also decided to watch Atonement. Two movies that she finds incredibly moving. Coincidentally, both movies star a particularly handsome man, James McAvoy. Now this man is beautiful. His accent, his posture, his piercing blue eyes. (The B&W photo inserted above gives him no justice, I assure you)
Speaking of Becoming Jane, it is so sad. Now, she knows this doesn't say much and considering Elida weeps at everything and anything, this movie is a real tear jerker! For real. But ugh. Why don't they make men like Mr. Lefroy anymore?
A notable quote from the movie: "Emotion is absurd."
Couldn't agree more. It is. It really, truly is.
